Deceitome - Flux of Ruin

DECEITOME - Flux of Ruin (RAW SKULL Records / REDEFINING DARKNESS CD 2019)
HM-2 insanity also arrived to the Estonian shore and infected Deceitome with it. The question is whether you feel a need to hear another band, which plays the classic Swedish death metal or not? If you do, then carry on reading this review. If you don't, go and do something else, Deceitome will not interest you.
If you stayed, be ready for some really awesome shit. For me "Flux of Ruin" sounds absolutely awesome. And the only thing I can complain is that it's EP only, not something a bit longer. But the music is great, all these five tracks tick all the boxes for what I love about the Swedish death metal style and Deceitome really did well here. They have a whole bunch of killer riffs, which are infectious as hell. There are obviously some fantastic, memorable melodies as well, which always are the highlight for this style of death metal. The production, which include that fat, chunky nasty HM-2 guitar tone, is spotless, it sounds savage, dirty, energetic... There's just nothing to wish for in basically every aspect of this EP. And if you have built an altar for Dismember, Entombed, Carnage, God Macabre, etc and still get goose skin when younger bands come up with this music in such a good quality, then do not hesitate but grab a copy of "Flux of Ruin" and play it. Play it loud and with the "repeat" mode on. And I need to look for their debut album!
Standout tracks: "Flux of Ruin"
Verdict: 80/100
